Fire Inspectors
play a vital role in preventing, detecting, and mitigating the impact of fires. You will perform tasks such as minor repairs and visual and functional testing on fire alarm systems in accordance with all national and local standards.  Our fire inspectors significantly contribute to public safety, property protection, and overall emergency preparedness.

Fire Inspectors
play a vital role in preventing, detecting, and mitigating the impact of fires. You will perform tasks such as minor repairs and visual and functional testing on fire alarm systems in accordance with all national and local standards.  Our fire inspectors significantly contribute to public safety, property protection, and overall emergency preparedness.

Job Requirements

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Electro-mechanical experience (either through professional experience and/or education) 
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical and electrical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop (proficient in Microsoft Office), email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire
  • Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level I within 12 months
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
  • 6+ months of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Alarm and/or Fire Life Safety Systems
  • Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
