Position Summary

The Security Integration Engineer is responsible for providing advanced remote support to customers and technicians relating to their access control, CCTV, and SAAS needs. This includes basic phone support to new system deployments and system upgrades.  The duties assigned to this position are critical in ensuring that both large and small customers are given the support they need to deploy and keep their systems running efficiently.

Responsibilities

Essential Position Accountabilities

  • Provide remote software installation, configuration, system programming, Tier 3 support for customer facing projects.
  • Provide consulting services to sales & customers on topics such as disaster recovery, best practices for system migrations, and system design for security systems that we support.
  • Maintain & provide documentation for projects.
  • Manage incoming projects and support tickets via phone and email; escalate to manufacturer support when necessary.
  • Travel as needed to deploy and support systems at customer sites. (20% or less)
  • Pursue training as necessary to maintain industry recognized certifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department goals.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of IT network infrastructure experience with switches, firewalls, VLAN, & VPN
  • 3+ years of experience working with access control & CCTV products such as Genetec, LENEL, Honeywell, Software House, Avigilon, Milestone, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience providing remote support through Bomgar “BeyondTrust”, RDP, & VPN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with programming/supporting access control and video systems from manufacturers such as Genetec, LENEL, Honeywell, Software House, Avigilon, Milestone, S2, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of CCTV frame rates, resolution, megapixels, bandwidth requirements, & POE requirements to meet the needs of the customer application.  
  • Experience with setting up/configuring current and legacy windows desktops and server platforms as well as SQL.
  • Experience with DVR/NVR video systems and IP cameras.
