The Fire Inspector position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by inspecting grounds, buildings and other infrastructure to detect fire hazards in order to protect life and property on site. Acts to enforce client safety standards and local regulations. You may perform other inspection, safety and security service duties if required for the site.

Responsibilities
Inspects grounds, building, and other infrastructure to detect fire hazards in order to protect life and property on client site. Acts to enforce client safety standards and local regulations. May perform other inspections, and safety duties. May perform other security services as required for the site.
Test and cleans equipment, such as air compressors, fire extinguishers and other fire protections devices to ensure conformance to fire and safety standards.
Discusses violations and unsafe conditions with site representative; makes recommendations, and provides instruction in fire safety practices.
Job Requirements
Must have Fire Life Safety Director License F-89, T-89, Z-89, be EAP certified and must have a current NY State Guard License.
Knowledge of or ability to learn fire inspection operations, and procedures.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Ability to be an effective team member.
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
Courteous telephone manner, and ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organizations.
Good organizations skills, and ability to provide high quality customer service.
Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively as various social levels, and across diverse cultures.
