We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient with fire alarm system design, NFPA 72 standards, NYCBC and strong knowledge in CAD software. As a Fire Alarm Engineering manager, you will lead our engineering team in designing and implementing fire alarm systems in high rise buildings and all occupancy classifications.

- Annual salary: $95,000-$110,000
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Guide the team in the design and layout of fire alarm systems in accordance with and meeting all requirements of NFPA 72 standards, NYBC as well as meeting local and state codes.
- Guide the team with detailed CAD drawings for fire alarm systems, detailed point to point wiring diagrams, floor plans, and riser diagrams.
- Conduct site visits as needed with the design team to gather necessary information for system design and ensure accuracy of plans.
- Collaborate with assistant engineers and project managers to develop and review project specifications and designs.
- Guide the team with preparation of project documentation, including submittals, equipment schedules, and material lists.
- Ensure compliance is followed with local, and state codes and regulations.
- Provide staff with engineering support during the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Capacity to directly interact with professional engineers and registered architects.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field experience required.
- Minimum NICET III .
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Proficiency of NFPA 72, NYCBC and other relevant fire alarm codes and standards.
- Familiar or experienced with Notifier fire alarm product line.
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge in the fire protection industry is required.
- This is a hybrid role requiring some days on-site in our New Hyde Park, NY office.
