We are currently seeking a Corporate Quality & Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to add to our team. Based out of Charlotte, this role plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance, environmental and health and safety programs designed to ensure distribution and conversion of plastics shapes is consistent with established standards, regulatory and customer requirements.
This job applies risk management techniques in evaluating quality, safety and regulatory impacts and leads efforts to stay current on various government regulations (DoD, ITAR, Rohs, REACH, Prop 65, etc.). This position will also monitor company compliance and respond to customer inquiries, while assisting the branches to improve the performance of warehouse operations throughout the company.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will be required to:
- Formulate and maintain quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
- Provide assistance to Piedmont FILMS ISO Management Representative
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes within Distribution and Films
- Work with vendors to insure quality of all purchased products for company use
- Take lead role on quality management teams within organization
- Develop and implements quality procedures and documents
- Design and implements quality training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers
- Develop and implement EHS procedures and documents along with training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers
- Stay current with up to date changes in Environmental, Health and Safety regulations
Job Requirements
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will have:
- Associates degree (A.A) or equivalent experience from a two-year college or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and performing internal audits
- Experience in designing and developing quality procedures and documents
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and government regulations.
- Basic understanding and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel up to 40%
