We are looking for a Fire Alarm Test & Inspection Technician to join our team!

Hourly pay range: $23 - $50/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.

Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (no on-calls)

Responsibilities

As a Fire Alarm Test & Inspection Technician, you are responsible for performing the inspection and testing of fire alarm systems for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers’ requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company. This is a pure inspection opportunity with no service calls.

n this role you will:Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire alarm systems.

Perform inspection and testing of backflow prevention devices as required by USC 10 and state and local codes; separate certification requirements may be necessary based upon the jurisdiction.

Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing.

Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements.

a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns.

Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution.

Perform fire extinguisher duties 10-20% of the time.

Job Requirements

Requirements:2 plus years experience in fire alarm systems.

High School diploma or equivalent.

NICET II (Fire Alarm Systems or Fire Alarm Test and Inspect).E4 Wet/dry chemical fire extinguishing system preferred.

Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android.

Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Must be able to travel overnight over multiple days occasionally.

Working Conditions:Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Occasional exposure to working in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.

The noise level is generally moderate.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring.Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds.Frequent ladder climbing, often while carrying up to 50 pounds.
