Job Description
The Inspection and Testing of Water Based Systems, NICET Certified Technician Level II, will be joining the Optimum Fire & Security Federal Inspection Team.
Job Type: Full-time
Hourly Pay Range: $30-$37

Responsibilities
NICET Certified Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector/Technician Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply applicable Codes and Standards, including IBC, IFC, and NFPA 13, 20, 22, and 25
- Perform fire sprinkler inspections and fire pump inspections in a multitude of differing environments, structures, and settings
- Extensive knowledge of fire sprinkler/fire pump systems
- Extensive knowledge of building reports
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read installation and system manuals
- Ability to read blueprints and building plans
- Extensive knowledge of sprinkler and fire codes
- Ability to use hand and power tools
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational/technical/ school training is highly preferred; on-the-job training may be provided
- Two years of related experience required
- Fire years of experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders
- Physically able to install system hardware
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
- Comply with all Company, Client, and Federal safety policies
- Inspect new or existing installations, prepare reports, and make recommendations
NICET Certified Fire Sprinkler Systems Inspector/Technician Requirements:
- Minimum NICET Certification in Water-Based Fire Protection Systems ITM Level II
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve basic math problems
- Ability to complete site surveys, identify code issues, and find solutions
- Completion of daily logs
