Job Description
OLA is seeking experienced fire protection engineers to join our team in Westchester and NYC. The ideal candidate will have between five to eight years of consulting experience in fire protection system design services. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of both water-based and non-water-based fire protection systems, including fire pumps and fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough building code reviews and analyses, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, the engineer will perform and review hydraulic calculations to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of fire protection systems in various building types. In this position, the fire protection engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated fire protection solutions. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. The engineer will also be involved in the preparation of design documents, specifications, and reports, contributing to the overall success of projects from conception through completion.
