Position Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets,
personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our grounds.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access
control, monitoring, and equipment control
• Be visible and observant, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and
attentive manner
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly
conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents
• Maintain the company’s reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
• Enforce policies and procedures of the company
• Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment
inspections
• Complete and submit daily reports, including relevant information, observations,
surveillance footage, and signatures
• Neutralize situations calmly with tact and common sense
• Perform requests by the customers within scope of security duties or within reason
• Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year proven experience as a professional security guard
• One year of excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills
License/Certification Requirements
• Security Officer Registration Act (SORA)

crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability
to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
