Responsibilities
Performs all duties of a Security Officer and in addition, performs all the duties of a Fire Safety Officer in accordance with Montefiore policies and procedures. Staffs main desk and provides information and directions. Monitors fire alarm control panel and issues instructions during emergencies. Performs related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Knowledge of electronic communications equipment; CCTV and electronic security systems. Determines appropriate response in fire, safety, and security situations that require the exercise of tact and judgment. Must have a strong working knowledge of all buildings and perform duties adequately.
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED required. Completion of an NYS-approved security guard training program and a current NYS security guard license are required. Completion of NYC accredited Fire Safety Director's course, pass the non-fire emergency (EAP) written or computer-based exam and candidate will have one (1) year to pass the on-site (F-89)test given by the FDNY, which is specific to the building associate is assigned to. CPR/BASIC LIFE TRAINING CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
