The Sprinkler Service Manager at Marmic Fire and Safety is responsible for overseeing the sprinkler inspection and service operations within a broad range of commercial and industrial environments. This role includes supervising inspection personnel, coordinating service processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving the team to meet monthly targets. The Sprinkler Service Manager also plays a key role in cross-training, recruitment, and strategic planning, ensuring all tasks align with company policies and best practices.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor the work of supervisors, technicians, and inspection personnel to ensure service and inspection goals are met.
  • Hold accountability for meeting company targets specific to inspection and service operations at various locations.
  • Oversee field service administrators to help achieve installation and service section objectives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and training for inspection personnel, ensuring all staff is properly equipped for their roles.
  • Plan and strategize installation and service activities for high-priority clients on a regular basis.
  • Review and resolve operational tasks related to supervisors, technicians, engineering, and sales.
  • Support the general administrator with inspection-related duties, either directly or through delegation.
  • Provide backup support for new business initiatives, programs, and opportunities.
  • Direct daily activities of inspectors and technicians, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with company administration and deliver presentations as required.
  • Ensure all inspection and service tasks comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of inspections and service projects.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the department's inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and project requirements.
  • Plan and manage the initiation of service and inspection projects.
  • Regularly report company data to upper management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Ensure profitability through the successful execution of sprinkler installation and service projects.
  • Support the development of new inspection plans and programs, driving both internal and external growth.
  • Travel may be required to complete inspection and service projects for various clients.
  • Provide supervisors and technicians with daily feedback and innovative suggestions to improve inspection methods and procedures.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in sprinkler installation and service.
  • Hold either an active Fire Sprinkler Fitter License OR Fire Sprinkler Inspector License, issued by the Arkansas Fire Protection Licensing Board.
  • Minimum of one year of leadership experience supervising a small crew (2 - 3 employees), with responsibility for delivering at least one large project from start to completion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, creative problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to respond effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent administrative, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think outside the box to solve problems.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
  • Consent to a background check upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in sprinkler installation or service.
  • Current Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester (BPAT) certification accepted by the State of Arkansas
