Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead field crews on commercial sprinkler installation and modification projects. This role will supervise daily job site activities, oversee installation work, ensure code compliance, and mentor junior technicians and helpers.The Foreman will play a key role in maintaining job site safety, coordinating work activities, and ensuring sprinkler systems are installed and serviced according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and perform all phases of commercial sprinkler installation and modification
  • Lead field crews performing work on new construction and existing building systems
  • Install risers, mains, branch lines and oversee system layout and preparation
  • Interpret blueprints, technical documentation, and construction drawings
  • Assign duties and inspect work performed by helpers and technicians
  • Ensure job site compliance with safety policies and applicable fire protection codes
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot sprinkler system issues using appropriate testing equipment
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and compliance with lock-out/tag-out procedures

Job Requirements

Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA-13 code
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems
  • Experience operating sprinkler installation tools including threading machines, roll groovers, drills, test pumps and pipe wrenches

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to work extended hours and in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial fire sprinkler experience
  • Prior experience supervising crews or leading projects in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • OSHA-30 certification preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired but not required
