Job Details
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring all job sites comply with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices. This role involves conducting regular safety audits, training teams on safety protocols, and working closely with project managers and field teams to promote a culture of workplace safety.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee job site safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, PPE usage, and hazard recognition
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
- Serve as a key resource for employees and subcontractors regarding safety procedures and best practices
- Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement in safety performance
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1 to 5+ years of experience in construction safety management
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- OSHA 30-hour certification required (OSHA 500 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a safety-first culture
- Ability to conduct training sessions and lead safety meetings effectively
- Experience working on commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects
