Job Details:We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiasticSafety Manager for an exciting, travel-intensive role in the Construction industry. This position involves extensive travel to various construction sites, ensuring the safety and compliance of each location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site work, inspection, compliance, incident handling, and walkthroughs. This is a unique opportunity for a safety-oriented professional seeking an exciting and dynamic role in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Safety Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks aimed at ensuring safety and compliance at all our construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:1. Regularly traveling to various construction sites to conduct safety inspections and audits.2. Identifying potential safety hazards and implementing corrective actions.3. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.4. Conducting safety training sessions for construction site staff.5. Handling any safety incidents, including conducting investigations and preparing reports.6. Performing walkthroughs of construction sites to ensure safety measures are being properly implemented.7. Collaborating with site managers and other staff to develop and implement safety protocols.8. Staying up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Job Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about safety and has a strong background in the construction industry. The qualifications for this role include:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role in the construction industry.2. Extensive experience with site work, inspections, compliance, incident handling, and walkthroughs.3. Ability to travel extensively to various construction sites.4. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.6. Ability to train and educate staff on safety protocols.7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and correct safety hazards.8. A degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field is preferred.9. Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are a plus.
