Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Northeast Team Leader will report to the Operations Leader and be responsible for leading a multi-discipline team of managers and technical professionals across multiple offices, including remote staff. This role focuses on delivering high-quality professional services, primarily in Fire & Building Safety and Energy & Utilities.

Success in this position requires a strong emphasis on staff engagement, project management reviews, career development, and fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture; in addition, the role also also requires continued personal technical and business development growth through billable hours and orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of approximately 20 professionals across multiple service lines, focusing on engagement, development, and performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
  • Ensure clear communication of company initiatives and maintain transparency with staff.
  • Drive consistency in processes and promote work-life balance by coordinating workload distribution and process improvements across the Northeast region.
  • Drive team growth through review of project performance of team and directed timely feedback to project managers.
  • Enhance employee satisfaction by fostering a supportive work environment, aligning career growth with individual interests, and ensuring competitive compensation and recognition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through sales and project management of personal projects.
  • Manage client expectations by driving high quality, timely and cost effective solutions.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining top industry talent.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for personnel and business growth in collaboration with management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical consulting, with a strong track record in client relationship management.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, demonstrating the ability to coach, mentor, and support career development.
  • Experience in consulting business processes, preferably with Jensen Hughes or a similar firm.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to deliver client presentations and engage effectively with staff.
  • A professional designation (e.g., Professional Engineering License) is preferred but not required.

Must be willing to travel to the New York Metro area and Massachusetts offices on a regular basis to ensure close engagement with the team.
