Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage plumbing and fire protection design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project deadlines and budgets.
- Develop plumbing and fire protection designs, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of plumbing and fire protection systems with overall building design.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians on plumbing and fire protection design.
- Perform site visits and inspections to verify compliance with design plans and specifications.
- Prepare and present reports and proposals to clients.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in plumbing and fire protection design.
- Build and maintain client relationships for repeat business and referrals.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection design, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and fire protection codes, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
