The Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and/or sprinkler systems. This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in the field and a commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of fire protection systems.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and sprinkler systems in commercial buildings.
- Perform routine and emergency service calls for system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
- Document all service activities, including inspections, testing, and repairs.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to schedule and perform work efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and maintenance.
- Respond to emergency service requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fire protection systems preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fire alarm/sprinkler technician.
- Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as local building codes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
