A well-known and family-owned Central Valley Farming operation is looking to add a PCA Assistant Farm Manager to their team. The ideal candidate will be dependable, highly motivated, detail-oriented and ready to take on this dynamic role with a wide range of responsibilities supporting daily farm operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Scout fields for pests, disease, and moisture levels
- Monitor crop health and irrigation needs (Schedule irrigation)
- Coordinate fertilizer applications and chemigation schedules
- Work with mechanics to identify and order necessary parts
- Coordinate spray applications and write spray mix recommendations
- Maintain accurate records of field activities and applications
- Operate and troubleshoot GPS systems and controllers for tractors and chemical equipmen
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications
- PCA license preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work 5–6 days per week during peak seasons
- Proficient or willing to learn precision agriculture technology
- Must currently reside in the region and have a valid U.S. driver’s license
