Fire Alarm Service Manager
Job Description
Puyallup, United States
Remote
🔥 Fire Alarm Service Manager
Location: Seattle, WA
Industry: Life Safety / Low Voltage / Building Services
Type: Full-Time | Permanent
About the Role
Are you a proven leader in fire alarm service operations with a deep understanding of the Seattle market? We’re seeking a Fire Alarm Service Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes pride in solving complex service challenges, and knows how to lead a team of technical personalities (yes, even the Prima Donnas of low-voltage).
This is a pivotal role that bridges field service excellence, small project sales, and technical leadership. You'll oversee inspections, deficiency corrections, and emergency response calls, while also guiding teams through TI project bidding and execution. If you know your way around fire alarm systems (regardless of brand or vintage), can speak the language of UL listings and monitoring, and enjoy managing both people and process—this role is for you.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all service-related fire alarm operations including inspections, repairs, emergency calls, and deficiency resolution.
- Oversee and assist with bidding and sales for small TI (Tenant Improvement) project work.
- Act as a technical point of reference for all fire alarm system types—new, old, branded, or generic.
- Maintain working knowledge of Seattle’s specific fire alarm codes, inspection requirements, and local AHJ nuances.
- Support licensing compliance and training initiatives for your team (familiarity with low-voltage regulations a must).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and field teams to ensure service delivery is prompt, compliant, and customer-focused.
- Promote a “can-do” attitude while managing a team of strong personalities in the low-voltage industry.
- Ensure UL monitoring standards and procedures are understood and followed (bonus if you’ve overseen UL-listed operations).
Job Requirements
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in fire alarm service operations with proven leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Seattle-area low-voltage and life safety regulations.
- Strong background in service delivery—especially inspections, emergency calls, and corrective actions.
- Experience with small project sales, quoting, bidding, and relationship management.
- Working familiarity with all major fire alarm systems (no need to be a tech—just know your gear).
- Awareness of UL monitoring standards and the ability to manage teams to those benchmarks.
- A leadership style that inspires accountability, respect, and team camaraderie—even under pressure.
- Local to the Seattle metro and fully authorized to work in the U.S.
