This is a 100% remote role 🏠 designed for a technical expert who thrives in a collaborative, integrated team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking fire protection and life safety designs from initial concept through to final construction completion. 🚀
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: * System Design: Create comprehensive fire protection and fire alarm systems for diverse project types, including restaurant, grocery, retail, and healthcare facilities. 🏢
- Calculations: Perform precise engineering calculations and prepare detailed technical documentation. 🔢
- Documentation: Produce high-quality construction documents and specifications in compliance with industry standards and local codes. 📝
- Coordination: Work collaboratively across an integrated team of architects, MEP designers, and structural engineers to ensure seamless project coordination. 🤝
- Project Lifecycle: Manage the transition of designs from defined concepts to physical completion, ensuring technical integrity throughout. 🏗️
Job Requirements
Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 🎓
- Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. 📜
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory. 💻
- Experience: Proven track record in fire protection design with deep knowledge of NFPA and relevant building codes. 🔥
- Industry Context: Experience with high-volume retail, grocery, or healthcare projects is highly advantageous. 🏥
