Our client, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Bachelors in Fire Protection Engineering and which will align successfully in the organization.

Responsibilities
What’s the Job?
• Types of facility assets include a wide variety of facility and occupancy types, including public assembly, retail, storage, warehousing, high-rise hotel and office, residential, commercial cooking, dining, industrial, and special amusement buildings.
• Systems accountabilities include fire detection and alarm, automatic sprinkler, water-based fire protection systems including water supplies and fire pumps, smoke control and smoke management systems, means of egress, exiting, and emergency movement of people and crowds in public assembly, commercial cooking fire protection, special hazards fire protection systems, life safety systems, building automation and controls, and explosion detection.
• In addition, the position will require an individual that can operate in an environment of diverse general engineering knowledge in other areas such as codes, hazardous materials storage, use and handling: gas alarm systems, elevator, conveyance, and ride safety; pyrotechnics; OSHA and general safety.
• Job tasks for the Fire Protection Engineer include field engineering support; technical input for inspection, testing, and maintenance; codes analysis; systems design and specifications for project support; plans review, fire hazard assessment; systems downtime response and troubleshooting; investigation, root cause and failure analysis
Job Requirements
What’s Needed?
• Bachelors degree in Fire Protection Engineering
• Must have Professional Engineer Cert
• 5-10 years experience in the design and construction of the fire protection systems and/or fire consulting
• Willingness and ability to travel for project support with the possibility of extended durations
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
