Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Supervisor to lead and manage fire alarm projects from start to finish. Experience is required and must have FDNY S-98, Nicet Level II, Osha-40, have experience troubleshooting fire alarm systems, programing fire alarm systems, take-off fire alarm systems for the position. The Fire Alarm Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing installation, testing, inspections, and servicing of fire alarm systems, ensuring timely completion, adherence to quality standards, and client satisfaction. This individual will work closely with the Division Lead Fire Alarms, technicians, vendors, and clients to coordinate and oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring the successful execution and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee and coordinate Fire Alarm Technicians for testing, installations, and troubleshooting, ensuring all work complies with AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) standards and regulations.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Lead and guide a team in executing projects, providing expert direction on schematics, installation practices, and adherence to AHJ or code requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all tasks performed, including testing, installation, and troubleshooting activities.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ field experience is required for all positions
  • Knowledge of NYC and National Fire codes a must
  • Fire Alarm experience required
  • Programing Fire Alarm Systems
  • Marking-up As-built drawings
  • Knowledge of required FDNY forms, A-433C, B-45, TB-60 etc.
  • Certified education programs may count as limited experience

Qualifications and Skills:

· Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role, preferably with a local Fire Alarm Company.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands effectively.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.

· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

· Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

· Strong Background in Microsoft excel preferred.

· Use of Software to monitor inspection process.

· FDNY S-98 Required

· NICET Level II Required

· OSHA 40 certification Required
