Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Install fire sprinkler systems according to design specifications and local codes
- Conduct inspections and tests of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot issues with fire sprinkler systems and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with engineering teams to assist in system design and hydraulic calculations
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed on fire systems
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety protocols and regulations
- Stay current with fire codes and industry advancements to provide the best service possible.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire protection preferred
- Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes
- Strong plumbing skills and understanding of hydraulic calculations
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites
- Certification as a Fire Sprinkler Technician is highly desirable.
