Position Overview

We're a leading player in the fire protection industry in Memphis, TN. This Technician is responsible for the inspection, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire suppression, fire hydrants and other related fire protection equipment. The role aims to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to provide a safe environment for clients and their properties.

This position will cover multiple client locations around the Greater Memphis, TN area.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Work schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6am-4pm (occasional night/weekend shifts)
  • Work on a on-call rotation, every 4 weeks
  • Be available on-call, as needed
  • Conduct routine inspections of fire protection to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance and servicing of Fire Alarm panels, PIV, Hydrants, Monitors, Fire Sprinklers, Foam systems, and underground repairs
  • Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of fire protection systems
  • Schedule and manage service appointments with clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Stay updated on safety regulations and compliance standards related to fire protection and extinguishing systems.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in fire protection systems preferred.
  • Experience in servicing and inspecting Fire Alarm panels, PIV, Hydrants, Monitors, Fire Sprinklers, Foam systems, underground repairs, and other related systems
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel locally to job sites
  • Willing to work occasional overnight or weekend shifts
  • Willing to work an on-call schedule, every 4 weeks
