Fire Sprinkler Contract Sales / Change Order Specialist - Experienced

The LA/Orange District office of Cosco Fire Protection has a challenging and growth oriented opportunity for the right entrepreneurially minded individual. Responsibilities
- Formulate and develop sales goals and plans for the contract department. Once developed, work collaboratively with District Management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Locate & qualify desired & targeted projects. Foster local customer relationships resulting in tangible sales.
- Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of new construction and service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and broaden customer relationships through quotations, anticipating needs, resolving concerns and complaints, and providing technical support.
- Develop layouts, estimates, calculations, quotations, and proposals.
- Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required to complete turnover/billing packages is given to operations staff in a timely manner.
- Estimate related service work & small projects including day-work as required.
- Tasks include mentoring/training change coordinators, investigating extra work issues to establish the root cause, and determining the avenue for cost recovery
- Read and understand Joint Venture, Consortium or Partnership agreements (as applicable)
- Read and understand purchase order language in Vendor and Subcontract PO's
- Read and understand the technical details, drawings, specifications, codes, and standards set forth by the project to be able to prove entitlement for change management
- Develop Client or Engineering change orders as allowed by contractual agreements
- Review RFI's, NCR's, DCN's and spec deviations
- Develop and process Back charges
- Develop basic estimates as back up documentation
- Maintain interpersonal relationships to interface with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Subcontracts, QC, Enterprise/JV Accounting, Vendors and Client
- Prepare documents for budget transfer or cost recovery based on contractual agreements
- Oversee daily activities regarding to change management
Job Requirements
- 4 or more years of fire sprinkler sales and/or change order management experience required.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, project specifications, sprinkler system design drawings, and applicable NFPA codes and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Completion of college degree in business, construction management, or engineering (or equivalent work experience).
- Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in the use of personal computers including Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe, Bluebeam, etc.
