Responsibilities
Role Description The Fire Alarm Tech / Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Savannah Area. This role is responsible for installing, testing, inspecting, and servicing fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled inspections, troubleshooting system issues, completing maintenance and repairs, and documenting all work performed in service reports and inspection records. The Fire Alarm Tech / Inspector will interact directly with customers to explain findings, recommend corrective actions, and provide basic training on system operation. The role may also involve coordinating with internal teams, adhering to safety protocols, and supporting quality control initiatives.

Qualifications
- NICET II
- Demonstrated skills in Inspection and Maintenance Management for fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Experience with Quality Control practices to ensure systems meet regulatory and company standards.
- Strong Customer Service abilities, including clear communication with clients and end users.
- Background in Training, such as instructing customers or team members on system use and safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local building and fire codes).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
- Comfort working on-site in commercial and industrial environments, including climbing ladders and using hand and power tools.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in fire alarm inspection or installation are preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for travel to customer sites in the Greater Savannah Area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, low-voltage systems, or fire protection is a plus.
