Responsibilities
Job Summary
As a Food & Workplace Safety Specialist at Flik, you will play a key role in supporting world‑class food safety and workplace standards across our operations. Key Responsibilities
- Support the promotion, implementation, monitoring, and verification of food and workplace safety and Quality Assurance (QA) reporting standards
- Provide clear, constructive written feedback to unit managers and culinary teams regarding observations and opportunities for improvement
- Partner with managers to identify and address safety and QA challenges and support effective resolution of issues as they arise
- Collaborate with clients, senior leadership, unit management, and culinary teams on all safety and QA‑related matters
- Participate in back‑of‑house inspections and external audits
- Train team members on food and workplace safety and QA policies and procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and records are maintained
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of food service experience
- At least 2 years of food safety inspection or auditing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations, including the FDA Food Code
- ServSafe certification required
- CP‑FS credential preferred
- OSHA 10‑Hour Certification preferred
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, including in time‑sensitive situations
- Well‑organized and detail‑oriented, with strong planning and follow‑through skills
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative, sound judgment, and effective problem‑solving skills
