Responsibilities
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified Fire Safety Director (FSD) to oversee fire safety and emergency preparedness at our facility. The FSD will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable fire codes, developing and implementing fire safety plans, and training staff in emergency response procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of fire protection systems, emergency management, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety and emergency action plans.
· Conduct routine fire and life safety inspections to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.
· Monitor and maintain fire protection systems, including sprinklers, standpipes, and alarms.
· Conduct fire drills and evacuation procedures as required.
· Train and supervise fire safety personnel, including floor wardens and brigade members.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for fire department officials and regulatory agencies.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal fire safety regulations.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records related to fire safety policies, procedures, and inspections.
· Investigate fire alarms and emergency incidents, providing reports and recommendations for improvements.
· Coordinate with building management, security, and other departments to uphold safety protocols.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
· Strong leadership and training skills.
· Experience working in high-rise buildings, commercial properties, or large residential complexes.
· Familiarity with OSHA, FDNY, and NYC Fire Code regulations.
· Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations.
· Experience managing fire protection systems in a commercial setting.
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
· Professionalism and actively contributes to a positive work environment.
· Able to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to, nights, weekends and holidays.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
· Fire Safety Director Certification (F89/T89).
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
