Responsibilities
As a Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment for our HVAC projects throughout New York City. You will collaborate closely with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure that safety procedures and protocols are consistently followed. The types of HVAC projects you will work on could be residential, highway, railway, heavy civils, bridges & tunnels. Your role will involve:
- The job involves providing safety supervision and leadership with an emphasis on field operations,
- Review engineering designs and add input into the development of new methods or techniques,
- Establish and conduct regular (weekly) safety meetings with project staff,
- Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports.
Job Requirements
I am looking for someone who ideally has a BS in mechanical, civil, or environmental engineering as well as 30hr OSHA and 40hr HAZWOPER. It is important you have experience working as a Safety Engineer for either a heavy civil company or an HVAC Company. It would be preferred if you have experience across the public and private sectors.
