Responsibilities
What does a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice with Century Fire Protection do?
- Work with a skilled Foreman to learn how to install fire sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential applications to protect and save lives
- Be part of a team of hardworking individuals who are passionate about fire protection and delivering the highest level of service
- Take pride when your crew completes a project

ole on the Team (Job Responsibilities):
- The basic function of the Sprinkler Helper will be to work with and learn from the Sprinkler Fitter/Foreman on the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
- You will be trained in quality standards and working within the various codes and standards associated with fire sprinkler systems Interact with customers on a daily basis.
- Assist Fitter/Foreman on sprinkler install jobs, traveling to job sites as required by the specific assignment.
- Lay out and connect pipes using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
- Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along pipeline.
- Communicate with foreman and/or superintendent any safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow Safety rules and requirements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- No prior fire protection experience required, just a demonstrated ability and desire to learn and help Good mechanical aptitude and works well with hands
- Willing to commute/travel to jobsites as needed
- Consistent attendance and punctuality
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and strive for success
- Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as working within ducts, crawl spaces, climbing a ladder, outside in the heat or cold, on lift equipment, or dirty environments
- Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
