Experience:
- AutoCAD: 2 years (Preferred)
- Fire alarm design: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare project drawings, specifications and schematics required to support the installation of electronic special systems (fire alarm, security, access control, and other low voltage specialist systems).
- Service customer project needs to specifications.
- Review CADD technician drawings for quality, specifications and code compliancy, technical oversight review and approval.
- Assist with maintaining established customers and developing new business.
- Maintain project drawing files, and associate records, and documentation tracking & maintaining as-built drawings.
- Perform occasional job site surveys in the field.
- Coordinate project needs with sales and other project managers overseeing code compliance and design.
- Assist with Administrative duties for overflow needs.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or CADD technical school with 2 years’ work related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. NICET Certification preferred. Experience with IBC, IC, IMC, NEC and NFPA code standards.
Computer Skills
AutoCad, Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
