Avalon Fire Protection is looking for a highly motivated, self-starting, and accomplished Fire Protection & Life Safety - Inspection and Service Department Supervisor. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Candidates must be experienced in the following areas preferably within the fire sprinkler and fire alarm industry:

  • Ensure on time Inspection, Testing and Maintenance contracts are reviewed, tasked, scheduled, and executed to meet the life safety needs of our clients.
  • Quote, oversee, schedule and coordinate the execution of inspections, repair service and inspection deficiencies jobs.
  • Utilize fire code knowledge to best serve our customers.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records in CRM program.
  • Schedule and communicate with Technician all job information.
  • Review and track routes for each Technician and adjust when needed to approve route efficiency.
  • Manage material orders and order placement. Review the shop’s material preparation, orders, job staging and tool preparation appropriate for all scheduled service work.
  • Ensure proper use, maintenance and repair of service and inspection tools, equipment and fleet.
  • Performance of spot checks of recent fieldwork for the purpose of reviewing quality of services, compliance with codes & standards, and customer satisfaction.
  • Understand cost and billings. Communication with the Accounting Department for accurate and timely invoice practices.
  • Responsible for the financial performance of the service and inspections department, departmental gross revenue, gross margin, and overhead.
  • Maintain and/or grow existing customer base.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organization and business administration skills. Be comfortable dealing with and are efficient in processing paperwork.
  • Communicate and strategize with management about financial progress, growth strategies, and regular or irregular needs of the office.
  • Attend project meetings and other coordination meetings, as needed.
  • Promote and coordinate continuing education and certification of employees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of Fire Protection/ Life Safety services and systems experience.
  • BA degree in business or related field is a plus but not required.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and discipline with proven negotiation skills and sales achievements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed while providing the highest level of customer service and industry knowledge.
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently as needed.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office & Google software to develop proposals, contracts, calendar appointments, and worksheets.
  • Must have own Transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Able to proof eligibility for employment in the United States.
