Responsibilities
The opportunity
- Assist with fire modeling
- Assist with dynamic egress modeling
- Assist with the development of structural fire calculations
- Assist with the development of fire safety strategies for special hazards
- Contribute to the development of prescriptive and performance-based design strategies.
- Provide consulting for life safety, building, and fire code compliance
- Assist senior engineers to help clients to incorporate fire and life safety strategy concepts into the design and review drawings for conformance with the agreed strategy
- Assist with development of fire alarm, detection, and fire suppression systems design documents
- Perform smoke control analysis
- Assist senior engineers on project site visits and communicate with architects, contractors and consulting teams
- Participate in internal team meetings and external client meetings
- Adapt to working with multiple teams, across multiple offices in a multi-discipline environment

Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil Engineering
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skills in planning and organizing
- Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn
- Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
