Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for overseeing fire safety and life safety operations, developing and implementing emergency response plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all fire and life safety matters within the assigned properties
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular fire drills, training sessions, and safety inspections to ensure preparedness and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Manage fire safety systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems, and ensure their proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency response agencies in the event of an emergency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all fire safety activities, including drills, inspections, and incident reports
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with property management to address fire safety concerns and implement necessary improvements.
  • Ensure the proper training of building staff and emergency response teams in fire safety protocols
  • Respond to and manage emergencies in a calm and effective manner, providing leadership and direction during crises.
  • The role also requires execution of various Security Officer responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid F-89,Z-89 or T-89 Certification (required).
  • Valid NYS Security Guard License (required).
  • Thorough knowledge of NYC fire safety codes, regulations, and building systems.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Strong customer services approach when interacting with public.
