We are currently seeking skilled and certified Security Officers with Fire Guard Certification (F01) to join our quickly growing team.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULES

  • Pay: $18.00
  • Union: NUSOG
  • Schedules: Monday-Sunday / Full Time - Part-Time

Alliance Security is hiring Security Officers with Fire Guard credentials for several residential and Commercial sites in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Note that the work locations can change after fire department regulations are met.  

The officers will ensure the safety, security, and welfare of tenants, visitors and property at various locations. As an F01 certified officer, they will also ensure that fire emergencies are reported and followed up for appropriate action. This position will work towards maintaining safety and order, preventing crime, and assisting security management with the safe operations of the residential properties.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises.
  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response.
  • Patrol and monitor assigned areas of the buildings and the grounds to deter crime and address potential violations.
  • Secure premises and personnel by controlling entry and screening all visitors per post orders.
  • Detect, investigate, and report unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles and activities.
  • Monitor surveillance and security/fire panel alarm systems, communicating necessary information for prompt investigation, and to facilitate the appropriate emergency response.
  • Notify management, emergency response agencies, or other appropriate authorities of security or emergency situations.
  • Assist management and staff during crisis or emergency situations.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and working special events and projects.
  • Make rapid and appropriate decisions during stressful situations.
  • Respond to incoming security calls according to established procedures.
  • Respond to critical incidents and investigate to determine cause then takes appropriate action.
  • Must remain up-to-date on all local and federal codes and regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid Security Guard License (required). It must be valid for 3 months past hire date.
  • Valid F01 Certification (required). (Note: F02 is NOT accepted)
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience.
  • Must be timely and adaptable, responding quickly and effectively to fire safety issues and emergencies.
  • Must be detail-oriented, to identify and resolve safety concerns and violations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong customer services approach when interacting with public.
Certification Requirements
  • NYS Security Guard License
  • F-01
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
