As a Fire & Life Safety Director at Alliance Security, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our tenants and visitors at any of our Class A Commercial Properties. This position requires a valid F-89 certification + a valid NYS Security Guard License. You will be responsible for overseeing fire safety and life safety operations, developing and implementing emergency response plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant fire safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Duties
-

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all fire and life safety matters within the assigned properties.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire safety and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular fire drills, training sessions, and safety inspections to ensure preparedness and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
  • Manage fire safety systems, including fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression systems, and ensure their proper maintenance and functionality.
  • Coordinate with building management, tenants, and emergency response agencies in the event of an emergency.
  • Maintain accurate records of all fire safety activities, including drills, inspections, and incident reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in fire safety regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with property management to address fire safety concerns and implement necessary improvements.
  • Ensure the proper training of building staff and emergency response teams in fire safety protocols.
  • Respond to and manage emergencies in a calm and effective manner, providing leadership and direction during crises.
  • The role also requires execution of various Security Officer responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
-

  • Valid F-89 Certification (required). It must be valid for 6 months past hire date.
  • Valid NYS Security Guard License (required). It must be valid for 3 months past hire date.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire & Life Safety Director in a NYC Commercial Properties.
  • Thorough knowledge of NYC fire safety codes, regulations, and building systems.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Strong customer services approach when interacting with public.
