Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Supervisor to join our team. This role involves managing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising safety programs, conducting training sessions, and handling safety-related incidents.

Shift: 8am-4pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $32-37/hr

This is a Permanent position based out of Newark, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily safety meetings to ensure all safety protocols are understood and followed.
  • Manage and oversee the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate and conduct onboarding for new hires, focusing on safety training and compliance.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies on accident investigations and reporting.
  • Train workers on safety practices, including OSHA guidelines and Lockout Tagout procedures.
  • Oversee safety management activities and ensure adherence to DOT and Oil Transfer regulations.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in safety management.
  • Proficiency in Safety training, OSHA safety regulations, and Health & Safety protocols.
  • Experience with Lockout Tagout training and development.
  • Strong supervision and training development skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
