Job Description

The Safety Coordinator will oversee utility scale projects, supporting the onsite management team and managing the Safety and EPC construction teams. The role requires electrical experience with low and medium voltage. Responsibilities include managing all administrative work related to employee injuries, completing audits and inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Banos, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for utility scale projects.
  • Support and manage the onsite management team and Safety and EPC construction teams.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Communicate daily plans with the safety manager and collaborate with foremen to review tasks and identify potential hazards.
  • Work with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) documents.
  • Conduct field visits to check on crews, ensure adherence to procedures, and compliance with PPE requirements.
  • Report and communicate any disciplinary actions to management.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

  • 3 years of experience in solar construction.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience with low and medium voltage electrical systems.
  • 1 year minimum of safety experience.
  • Experience in safety management and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience in EMP is preferred.
