The Fire Sprinkler Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and financial performance of assigned fire sprinkler projects. This role oversees client relationships, project sales support, scheduling, field labor management, and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). The Project Manager represents the company with professionalism and discretion and is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, accountability, and commitment to safety, quality, and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute fire sprinkler projects successfully.
  • Oversee the financial performance of assigned projects.
  • Maintain and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Support project sales and coordinate scheduling.
  • Manage field labor and ensure proper coordination with contractors, suppliers, and AHJs.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability in all aspects of the project.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and profitability standards.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects ranging from $50,000 to over $25 million.
  • Strong construction management skills.
  • Proficient in change order management and MEP coordination.
  • Experience in mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to perform financial reporting and manage construction documents.
  • Experience with subcontractor buyouts and project engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Experience in Business Systems Software such as JDE, IFS, FastEst, and Bluebeam.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing fire sprinkler or fire protection projects.
  • Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems, components, and installation practices.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • NICET certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Experience working with AHJs, general contractors, and large commercial projects.
  • Experience in estimating or sales within the fire protection industry.
  • Proficiency with project management and job costing software.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at the Seattle office, with occasional site visits required.
