Commercial Construction Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
-Plan and develop electrical and fire alarm systems design for new and existing facilities
-Assess and modify existing power distribution systems
-Coordinate electrical services with other building elements such as mechanical, architectural & structural
-Sizing Cables, Circuit protective devices, Panel Boards and Conduits and Pathways
-Perform calculations including but not limited to total system Voltage Drop and Short Circuit Calculations and Coordination Studies.
-Troubleshoot relay and data system design
-Research and specification of electrical components for optimal design to meet project goals
-Perform peer review and analysis of drawings, specifications, reports and studies prepared by other electrical engineers to ensure compliance with codes and standards
