Description
We are searching for an experienced safety professional to support the Charlotte, NC area. This person will be responsible for OSHA guidelines, customer and company safety policies and supporting administrative tasks. At least 50% of time is spent in field observing and communicating with employees and customers. Typical schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Some weekends and overtime may be necessary.

Responsibilities
Typical Duties
Conduct OSHA safety training.
Communicate with site foreman and EHS Director regularly.
Attend client and company meetings.
Create site safety health plans for projects.
Create JHAs for projects prior to start of work and review with team.
Walk sites (to include roofs) and evaluate environment and employees for OSHA compliance and risk. Correct risks immediately.
Conduct weekly toolbox meetings.
Lead incident investigations and assist with injury reports.
Review and inspect confined spaces and crane lifts.
Perform injury case management.
Work with project managers on safety concerns.
Perform safety presentations.
Assist management in material samples to assure environment is free of harmful chemicals or materials.
Be prepared and comfortable performing first aid in minor situations and CPR and AED in emergencies.
Perform AED and fire extinguisher inspections.
Perform calibrations on air monitors.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years' experience in field construction safety industry
Current OSHA 510 a must
OSHA 500 a plus
Must have OSHA 30 certification
Must be comfortable with MS Word and EXCEL
Ability to take detailed instruction and work with minimum supervision
Positive "can do" attitude, strong work ethic and a team player
Good problem-solving abilities, communication skills, aptitude and manual dexterity
Flexible working schedule to support project needs
Ability to walk job sites and lift up to 50 lbs
