In 1943, in the midst of World War II, Earl Wesley Vankirk had a vision on which he built a family business in electrical contracting. Through his drive for excellence, Earl became an educator of the trade and took great pride in teaching others his skill through an electrical apprentice program. In later years, he accepted the position of assistant chief electrical inspector for the State of Washington. At that time, he handed over the company and traditions to his son, Loren E. Vankirk. Loren, along with his son L. Wes Vankirk, began to expand the local family business from the foothills of the Cascades in Washington into national companies.
Over many decades, The Vankirk companies have risen to the challenges brought on by economic downturns and industry changes. They have taken on those challenges with the same vision and determination as their founder did so many decades ago. The pursuit of excellence has made the Vankirk companies a leader in the electrical construction industry. Vankirk insights have led to many opportunities in the way of equity partnerships on projects and in new development both locally and abroad.
Vankirk Electric has created financial stability, trusted partnerships, and a leading position in business relationships. Today, other industry leaders who make up our team share the Vankirk companies’ vision. Our strong work ethic continues to move us forward in the never-ending pursuit of excellence.
