WHERE WE BEGAN

The story lives on

Originally founded on December 6, 1973 as Houston-Stafford Electric, Inc.,  the company quickly became one of the nation's largest and most respected electrical contracting firms, performing work nationwide for many of America's leading builders and developers. Our founders Roy Brown (pictured left) and Ben Mueller (pictured right) formed the backbone of who we are today. These two gentleman paved the way for our future; they knew from the start that growth was in our DNA.

In October 1997, Houston-Stafford Electric became one of the original founding electrical companies to form what is now known as IES Holdings, Inc. (our parent company). In 2008, Houston-Stafford Electric changed it's name to IES Residential, Inc. Since joining IES Holdings, IES Residential, Inc. has expanded service offerings well beyond our specialty of electrical contracting.​
