Emergency Action Directors

Eastern Security Corporation continues to lead the industry in promoting the use of contract Emergency Action Planners.  Emergency Action Planners (EAP’s) are responsible for the implementation of the a property’s Emergency Action Plan & ensures that the building is in compliance with all hazard emergency regulations.  EAP Directors control and supervise the actions and/or evacuations in the immediate threat area according to the approved EAP plan and is a liaison to the first responders upon their arrival.

Both internal and external threats to building occupants are included in the scope of duties performed that can include:

Fire Safety Directors

Eastern Security Corporation has taken the industry lead in providing NYC certified Fire and Life Safety Directors (FLSDs) and Fire Safety Guards (FSGs).   FLSDs and FSGs are increasingly relied upon as the main point of contact in fire emergencies, and Eastern Security Corporation provides dedicated professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of all building occupants. Our FLSDs and their support teams take all necessary actions needed to insure occupant and property safety.  FLSDs provide a variety of functions including:

• Notifications to building occupants of fire and emergencies
• Assisting in the evacuation of buildings in an emergency
• Acting as the key liaison with the fire department during fire safety operations
• Maintaining the Fire Safety Plan
• Conducting fire safety drills

Training

ESC security officers have completed the required hours of  seminars, videos and testing, but their training is never truly “over.”  ESC continues educating our officers through on-the-job training [OJT], mentoring, and by holding site-specific “town halls.”

Because our OJT doesn’t ever end, our officers never become ‘lost’ in their posted site.  They become intimately aware of most anything that occurs within — both day and night.  Our officers’ education includes learning to understand every single inch of the facility where they are placed. This helps them detect anything wrong and correctly report and thereby eliminate potential threats to property and people.
